My bent wire sculptures are handmade from
de-constructed copper electrical cable set in
a glazed concrete base.

My paintings are all created by entirely by
hand using a hard-edge style with strong
geometric lines.  I often look to vintage
textiles for inspiration and work with multiple
panels to  create large scale installations.  
It all began when my kindergarten painting of Apollo 7 was selected for national exhibition.  This small event so many
years ago set me off on a creative journey that would last a lifetime.  While my formal education and career have
taken me in other directions, my passion lies with the arts.
My wire loopings are created from a single
strand of copper wire.  I use a wire "looping"
technique which originated generations ago
and was used to make utilitarian baskets.
Using a dowel, I make loops of wire that I
interlock into one another to create
shapes.  Each piece evolves – it is not
calculated or planned.  Rather, each
represents an intriguing and unique journey.
The long strands of copper wire are bent at
hard angles to create interwoven geometric
shapes. These pieces have a unique kinetic
quality.
